Seeker Spring Case

Spring case for the Gaahleri Seeker

A replacement spring case for the Gaahleri Seeker airbrush. The manufacturer lists it as a separate part for this Advanced Series model under the name spring case. This is not an airbrush, nor a set of rear mechanism parts, but a single spring case.

What the spring case does

The case screws into the rear of the body and encloses the needle return spring. The spring pushes the needle forward again as soon as you release the main lever, so how readily the airbrush shuts off the paint depends on its preload. According to the manufacturer's instructions, the preset fluid control knob screws into the case as well.

Fitting and maintenance

• The order given by the manufacturer's instructions: spring, spring case, preset knob.
• Tighten it with your fingers; an overtightened case strains the thread in the airbrush body.
• If the needle does not return forward, check both the spring and the cleanliness of the case.
• Clear dried paint off the thread with a cleaner before you put the case back.

For the Aventus the manufacturer lists its own spring cases, in a silver and a gold version; the parts of the two models are not interchangeable. The manufacturer sells the spring as a further separate part, so check the package contents on the packaging. This is a spare part for an airbrush, not an airbrush. The airbrush, paints and thinner are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
