The Fokker 50 in the colors of a regional carrier in 1:144 scale from A&A Models. A plastic kit of the twin-engine turboprop airliner.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the twin-engine turboprop airliner Fokker 50 in the colors of one particular machine of a regional carrier, registration EC-GBH. The 1:144 scale is the usual one for airliners: the finished model takes up little room on a shelf, so several types can be collected side by side, and it is still large enough to be legible. This is a 2026 release with a new decal sheet.
The Fokker 50 was a Dutch twin-engine airliner for short routes with a high-mounted wing and turboprop engines. It was derived from an earlier and very successful type from the same manufacturer, whose basic shape it kept, but it received new engines with six-blade propellers, more modern equipment and a revised cabin. It was built for exactly what regional carriers do: short legs, frequent landings and operations from smaller airports.
The fuselage of an airliner is a large smooth surface on which every unevenness shows. Fill the joints carefully, sand them over and polish the surface before painting. The white or light finish of a carrier calls for an even base and several coats. Paint or fit the passenger cabin windows only after the fuselage has been painted. Apply the decals onto a gloss surface and finally overcoat the whole model with a satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
