The package is built as two subjects in one: the vehicle and the men who shared a battlefield with it in September 1939. The TKS is here in the form with the heavier armament, that is, with the 20 millimeter cannon.
The TKS tankette was a small tracked vehicle for two men, originally armed only with a machine gun. A small number of the machines were given a 20 millimeter cannon before the war, and it was precisely this modification that turned them into a weapon able to deal with German light tanks and armored cars. The best-known action is credited to a crew that destroyed several German vehicles in a single engagement in September 1939. Polish cavalry meanwhile remained a mobile arm of the army and met tankettes in the field as a matter of course.
The vehicle is small and its interior with the engine compartment is worked out, so finish it before closing the hull. Fit the tracks only onto a finished running gear. Polish interwar camouflage is intricate, so apply the soft transitions with a brush or over a raised mask. Paint the figures separately and set them into the scene at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
