A kit of the Spitfire Mk.I in 1:72 scale in its Battle of Britain form. A model from a new family of molds that covers the early versions in detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:72 scale from the maker IBG, aimed at the period of the Battle of Britain. It belongs to a new family of molds that the maker built around telling the early versions apart: within this family there are several types of propeller, fuselage, wing and canopy, so exactly the form of the aircraft that matches a particular period can be built.
The Spitfire Mk.I was the first production form of the fighter that became the symbol of the British defense. In the summer and autumn of 1940, together with the Hurricane, it made up the backbone of Fighter Command. It carried eight machine guns of 7.7 millimeters in the wing and a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. It was during the battle that the machines changed fast: an armor plate behind the pilot was added, the propellers and the canopies changed, so two aircraft from the same squadron could look different.
Make sure which form of the aircraft you want to build and choose the parts accordingly. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. British camouflage of brown and green is best applied in a small scale over a raised mask, so that the transition is neither sharp nor blurred. Lay down a gloss coat before the decals and a matte one after them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
