A printed set of exterior details for the Spitfire Mk.I and Mk.II in 1:72 scale. The small features on the surface of the aircraft that plastic cannot carry in a small scale.

A printed set of exterior details for the early Spitfires in 1:72 scale from the maker IBG. This is not an airplane kit but an accessory aimed at the surface: the small protrusions, covers, outlets and similar features that in plastic are either simplified or cannot come out of a mold at all. In a small scale it is exactly these small things that tell a nice model from an excellent one.
The early Spitfires changed markedly within a short time. The propellers, the canopies, the exhausts and the small external equipment all changed, so two machines from the same year can look different. A modeler building a particular aircraft from a photograph therefore often needs different details from the ones a kit offers, and that is exactly what accessory sets are for.
Separate the parts from the print supports with a sharp knife and work over a surface from which a lost part can be found again. Wash them in lukewarm water with dish soap before painting. They are glued with super glue applied in a tiny drop. Cut off the original plastic shapes you are replacing first and smooth the area.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
