Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-17F fighter in 1:48 scale from the maker Kinetic, in the form of the East German Air Force. The F version is the most widespread form of the type and can be told by the longer rear fuselage, into which an engine with an afterburner fitted.
The MiG-17 came about as an improvement on the MiG-15 with a more swept wing and better behavior at high speeds. The F version was given an engine with an afterburner, which gave it markedly better climb. The machine was built in enormous numbers and flew with dozens of air arms all over the world, the states of the Eastern bloc among them. In East Germany it formed the basis of the fighter force for a number of years and its armament consisted of cannons, not guided missiles.
The split fuselage with the intake duct calls for careful fitting, so try it dry and rather fill the joints with putty. Weight the nose gear so that the model does not sit down on its tail. East German machines often flew in bare metal, so it pays to invest time in a smooth surface and to use a lacquer metallic paint, which is sensitive to the base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
