FuG 16ZY Peilantenne in 1:32 scale from Brengun is a small 3D-printed add-on: the direction-finding loop antenna of German fighters, not a kit of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on for builders of German fighters in the largest of the common scales. The manufacturer describes it as a 3D-printed antenna for German aircraft, so it is not a model of an aircraft or a kit but a single precisely shaped detail that is glued onto a finished model. The Czech manufacturer Brengun supplies it in three scales, and this is the 1:32 version, where the loop antenna is seen best on a model.
The FuG 16ZY was a high-frequency radio set of the Luftwaffe from the later part of the war. The suffix ZY marked the direction-finding function: a crew could home in on a transmitted signal and ground stations were able to bring a formation of fighters to the target. The underside of the fuselage carried the direction-finding loop antenna, and you will meet it on late versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, but on twin-engine types as well. For a model that means a small but very noticeable difference between an early and a late version of the machine.
Separate the part from the print supports carefully, clear the surfaces of any remains and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. The thin arm of the loop is brittle, so seat it only after the surrounding area has been varnished. A base filler primer will level the surface of the print and bring it into line with the plastic.
This is an add-on for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
