Base with telegraph pole 1:35 from Black Dog is a cast resin diorama base with a telegraph pole in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cast resin diorama base in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog, with a telegraph pole as the main element of the scene. The base comes with the ground texture finished, so all it needs is painting and some vegetation. A vehicle model and figures are not included in the package. The manufacturer also offers a pair of poles without a base separately.
A telegraph pole is one of the most effective elements of a small scene. A vertical line breaks up a flat composition, leads the eye upward and gives the scene its scale, because everybody knows how tall a pole is. It also places the scene unambiguously beside a road or a railway, so a vehicle on the base looks at once as if it is on the move. The wires are usually added separately, most often from drawn fishing line or thin wire.
First rinse the resin base in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Level any casting flash with a file. Apply thin coats of primer; a heavy coat would fill in the engraved detail. The surfaces come out well after a dark wash and a light pass with a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
