CE05 - Israeli Air Force Colors from 1970's to Present

CE05 Israeli Air Force Colors, a Lifecolor paint set for the Israeli Air Force

A set, not a single shade, and that is the main purchasing distinction here. The Italian manufacturer Lifecolor puts eight matte shades of 22 ml each into it, marked with FS standard codes. The coverage is the finish of the Israeli Air Force from the late nineteen-seventies to the present, that is desert camouflage of the upper surfaces as well as the light shades of the lower surfaces. Three of the eight shades are also offered by the manufacturer as separate bottles: Sand FS33531, Green FS34258 and Pale Green FS34227. If you need only one of them, a separate bottle is enough; if you are building a whole machine, the set also gives you the lower shades and the supplementary tones. The binder is acrylic and the paints are thinned with water or with thinner of the same brand. This is different chemistry from enamel or lacquer, so do not thin or mix them with solvent-based paints.

Use

• desert camouflage of Israeli fighters and attack aircraft from the late 1970s
• upper surfaces as well as light lower surfaces of one machine from one package
• brush as well as airbrush, depending on how you thin the paint
• the shades can be mixed with each other for transitions and fading

Who the set is for

For modelers who build Israeli hardware and want the scheme covered in a single purchase, and for anyone who works with FS standard numbers and wants the shades marked right on the bottle. Anyone who needs to replace a single shade that has run out will reach for a separate bottle of the same shade.

Stir the paint thoroughly before use, the pigment settles to the bottom. Work in a ventilated space and use respiratory protection with an airbrush. The thinning ratio and the drying time are stated on the box.

The paints are supplied in the package in the volume stated. The thinner and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
