Eduard EX1207 is a TFace masking set for the Phantom FG.1 kit in 1:48 from Airfix. It masks the glazing from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech company Eduard of Obrnice near Most, the manufacturer's part number EX1207. It contains pre-cut self-adhesive stencils of masking tape, which conforms well to curved glazing. It is intended for the kit of the British Phantom FG.1 in 1:48 from Airfix.
The TFace version masks the glazing from both sides. Alongside stencils for the outer surface it also contains parts for the inner side of the canopy, so the frame can be sprayed from the inside and no glossy transparent area is left behind a closed canopy. On the two-seat canopy of the Phantom the glazing is large and the inner frame is clearly visible. The set without the inner stencils is offered by the manufacturer for the same machine under the code EX1206. Check the scope of the package, including any wheel stencils, on the box.
The Phantom FG.1 is the British version of the McDonnell Douglas F-4, listed by its maker as the F-4K. From the American Phantoms it differs in its Rolls-Royce Spey engines and British equipment. Because of the shorter catapult of the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal it has a markedly extending nose landing gear leg, thanks to which the machine took off with its nose raised. The machines flew with the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy, and after Ark Royal was withdrawn in 1978 they passed to the Royal Air Force.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
