Replacement landing gear wheels for a model of the Italian fighter Macchi MC.202 Folgore. Which wheels these are

The MC.202 had tail landing gear: two main wheels retracting into the wing and a small tailwheel at the back. With replacement wheels the main purchasing detail is the version of the tire, that is the rendered tread and the bulged contact surface, thanks to which the model looks as if the machine were standing on the ground and carrying its own weight. The treads and hubs on Italian machines differed between production batches, so compare the version with a photograph of the aircraft you are building. Check the scope of the set on the box.

Fitting and painting tips

First separate the parts from the pour blocks and level the contact surfaces; protect your breathing while sanding. Resin and printed parts are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, glue for polystyrene will not join them. A primer is mandatory. Do not paint the tire black, a dark gray shade rounded out with light dust where it meets the ground looks better; the African deployment of the Folgore positively invites such weathering.
