This is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory produced by 3D printing, which replaces the parts from the kit. The set is intended for the Airfix kit in 1:48, as the box states. The manufacturer is the Czech company Eduard of Obrnice near Most.
The Jaguar was a British and French ground-attack aircraft, and alongside the single-seat machines the Royal Air Force took delivery of thirty-five two-seat Jaguar T.2 trainers; some of them went through an upgrade to the Jaguar 96 standard and received the T.4 designation. On a model standing on the ground the landing gear and its bays are permanently on view, and injection-molded plastic runs up against its limits here: the mold will render neither the fine hoses, nor the struts, nor the structure of the walls. The single-seat GR.1 and GR.1A have a different forward fuselage section and the manufacturer offers its own set of bays and undercarriage legs for them; do not confuse the two.
First separate the parts from the supporting props and level the contact surfaces; protect your breathing while sanding. The printed parts are joined by cyanoacrylate glue, glue for polystyrene will not join them. A primer is mandatory. The bays are usually painted in a light shade, against which the traces of service then come out: a dark wash into the corners, glossy traces of oil and worn edges.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
