An injection-molded plastic kit of the American reconnaissance version of the Bradley vehicle. The packaging states that the box contains Bigfoot type tracks, that is the wider form with strengthened links. The Kinetic brand builds sets with a detailed parts breakdown, so expect more subassemblies and longer work from the build. The manufacturer states neither the number of parts nor the number of marking options; check the extent in the instructions.
The Bradley came about as an infantry fighting vehicle, but the version designated M3 is the reconnaissance one: in place of a dismount party it carries more ammunition and observation equipment and serves with cavalry, that is reconnaissance, units. The A3 form is the most modern shape, with a digital command system, new optics and strengthened protection, so the vehicle works as part of a networked set of units. The main armament consists of an automatic cannon supplemented by anti-tank missiles. Wider tracks reduce ground pressure and help the vehicle across country.
Finish the running gear and the interior before you close the hull up; on the Bradley the running gear is complicated and once it is glued you cannot reach it. Assemble and paint the tracks separately and fit them onto finished wheels. Present-day American vehicles tend to have a uniform shade that needs livening up: after the base color put a filter on, a wash into the recesses, chipping on the edges and dust pigments on the underside. Glue the antennas and the optics on last, so that they do not get damaged.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
