An empty truck bed is the most conspicuous mistake that can be made on a diorama: troops never drove around empty. Small transport crates are ideal for filling it, because they can be stacked, tucked into a corner and used as an improvised seat. The set contains nineteen pieces, so it is enough for a whole load area and for a few scattered around it. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory.
According to the manufacturer the package contains nineteen crates in 1:35 scale. Decals, paints and glue are not included. The parts have to be cut from the casting blocks.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the surfaces up with a file, and sand with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Do not paint all the crates the same: different shades of wood and different degrees of wear look more convincing than a uniform row. Build the pile up slightly irregularly and lay one crate askew.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
