This is an accessory for a model, not a ship kit: the 38 cm main artillery in the SK C/34 mounting for the German battleship Bismarck in 1:350 scale. The box states that it is intended for the Revell kit. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints its parts from photopolymer resin and supplies them with print supports. The main turrets are the most important part of a model to look at, which is why it is worth replacing the plastic parts there with printed ones.
The Bismarck carried eight 38 cm guns in four twin turrets, two forward and two aft. The weapon designated SK C/34 was among the most powerful guns of its day, and it was this gun that hit the British Hood in the battle of the Denmark Strait. The turrets appear in photographs trained at various angles, which gives a modeler the chance to lend a finished ship a sense of movement.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and sand the marks with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the turrets separately, off the hull. The barrels are long and thin, so protect them while working and fit them last of all. Wash the gun muzzles with a very dark color so that they do not look flat.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The Revell base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
