A finished collector's model of the Tomahawk Mk IIA fighter in 1:72 scale. The model is assembled and painted, so it goes straight into a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
Tomahawk was the British designation for the early versions of the American Curtiss P-40 fighter. It was powered by the Allison V-1710 piston V12, which gave the machine good performance near the ground but fell behind at greater altitudes. The British therefore used the Tomahawk above all for attacks on ground targets, for escort work and for tactical reconnaissance. The Mk IIA version was among the first batches delivered to the Commonwealth.
This is a finished collector's model, not a kit. It is assembled, surface-finished and given its colors and national insignia; there is no gluing, filling or spraying of paint.
Put the model in a display case or on a shelf out of the reach of direct sunlight, which takes the saturation out of the colors. Wipe dust off with a soft brush or blow it away; do not use water, detergents or solvents, because the surface finish and the insignia can be damaged by them. When carrying the model, take it by the fuselage, never by the wings, the propeller or the landing gear.
It suits collectors of Second World War fighters as well as those who are putting together a survey of types by operating country and do not want to spend time building. A display base, a display case and other accessories are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
