DSPIAE PT-SP04 is a set of three acrylic sanding pads of different widths in 400 grit, with self-adhesive abrasive papers.

Three sanding pads of clear acrylic in three widths, together with self-adhesive abrasive papers. The 400 grit is the working one of the whole range: it levels mold seams, ridges of filler and sprue nubs. The acrylic flexes slightly under pressure while doing so, so the pad follows a curve and does not create a facet on a rounded surface the way a hard plate would.
A coarser grit removes material fast and there is usually engraved paneling next to the joint. Guide the abrasive along the seam rather than across it, and mask the surrounding detail with tape. The narrowest pad does reach in between details, but that is exactly where the risk of damage is greatest, so work there in short strokes.
The set is for modelers who sand joints and filler on shaped parts and want to begin the whole procedure with one tool. The line also comes in finer grits, which are supplied separately.
Label or otherwise distinguish the pads according to grit. Once the paper is stuck on they look the same, and a mixed-up step means a scratch you then have to sand out from the beginning again. Do not breathe in the sanding dust from plastic and resin; work with extraction or at least with a respirator.
