A set of cut masks 1:72 for the camouflage of the Israeli F-16C Barak. It lets the color pattern be applied accurately even on a model that fits in the palm of your hand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Barak designation was given in Israeli service to the single-seat F-16C. The aircraft entered the inventory at a time when the local air force already had rich experience with the older type, and it therefore deployed it in a wide range of tasks from the start. Recognizing it is helped by the teardrop canopy with no frame, which gave the pilot a view both forward and to the rear, and by the slender fuselage with its large belly intake. It is precisely the simple clean shapes that make the type a rewarding object for a collection built in a single scale.
The enclosed sheets carry cut parts matching the color fields. You proceed from the light areas to the dark, the finished parts are covered and at the end all the stencils are removed at once. The resulting boundary is set by the cut of the film, so it looks the same on the left and the right side and matches the real layout of the finish.
The main obstacle here is not the accuracy of the spraying but the size of the parts. The smallest fragments are hard to pick up, they bend or get lost easily, and without tweezers with a fine tip the work will drag on. It also pays to work over a light-colored surface, where a peeled-off remnant can be seen. Anyone building for a quick result or preferring ready-made motifs will reach for a decal sheet, but that covers only the markings and lettering, not the camouflage pattern. That cannot be done without spraying.
