A set of masking templates for spraying the camouflage scheme onto a model of the MiG-21MF in 1:144 scale. These are not masks for the glazing but templates for the surfaces of the airframe: they follow the camouflage fields with their angular edges. The supplier carries the build they are cut for under the number 7701 and places it with the machines of the Czech Air Force.
The MiG-21 was a single-seat supersonic fighter with a delta wing which became one of the most widespread combat aircraft of its day. The MF version was among the most numerous here, and in later years non-standard camouflage schemes with sharply angled fields appeared on it, differing markedly from the usual soft transitions.
For builders in the small scales who want the boundaries of the camouflage fields sharp and exactly in place. It is precisely in 1:144 scale that masking by hand with tape is thankless work: the fields are tiny, there are many edges and a single run of paint shows at once on a model the size of a palm. The set also saves time, because measuring out and cutting shapes from a drawing fall away.
The package holds masking templates only. The model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
