The DSPIAE MT-C is a compass cutter with stepless adjustment of the radius and a set of carbide blades with differing edge angles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tool for cutting out circles with stepless adjustment of the radius. The point is pressed into the center, the arm is set and the blade describes a circle. According to the manufacturer it handles diameters of roughly one to forty-five millimeters and is counted on for thin materials, namely paper and rubber film up to about 0.4 mm thick.
According to the manufacturer the set holds three carbide blades differing in the angle of the edge, distinguished by color. It is not a decoration: a sharper angle cuts through thin film without dragging, a blunter one takes thicker material without chipping the tip. Choosing the blade according to the thickness of the material decides whether the cut comes out clean or ragged.
The cutter is for those who regularly mask circular features or make discs and washers from thin materials. It is not meant for thick plastic and metals.
With masking circles it pays to cut a pair straight away if the model needs a symmetrical set. The setting stays the same and both masks come out identical, which never holds with two separate settings. The blades are very sharp; keep the tool out of the reach of children.
