Airscale Messerschmitt Bf 109E propeller 1:24 is a resin detail set of the propeller blades and spinner for a large-scale model of the Bf 109E fighter; it is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the British maker Airscale that replaces the propeller of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighter in the large 1:24 scale. The set is meant as an upgrade for the large-scale Bf 109E model and concentrates on a faithful rendering of the shape of the blades and of the spinner. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that raises the realism of a finished kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E (nicknamed Emil) was the key version of the German fighter in the early stages of the Second World War, used above all during the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. It was powered by the inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine driving a three-blade metal VDM propeller with variable pitch, and it is that shape the set captures.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent first, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand any feed stubs down with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Lay down a primer before painting; the metal surfaces of the propeller come out well in a metallic finish, and the front of the blades is usually flat black with colored tips.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
