The parts replace the wheels from the original kit and bring a more faithful tread, a fine texture and well-rendered hubs.
The Douglas TBD Devastator was an American carrier torpedo bomber of the Navy, deployed in the opening phase of the war in the Pacific. The wheels and tires are among the visually prominent details of the landing gear and rendering them faithfully raises the overall impression of a large model in 1:32 scale.
Wash the printed resin parts free of any uncured resin residue, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The tires can be knocked back to matte and given dust pigments, and the hubs can be brought out with a metallic shade. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
