Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern K2 Black Panther main battle tank in the Polish Army version, 1:35 scale, from Hobby 2000. The kit captures the tank as Poland has been bringing it into service since 2022. The exact make-up of a particular boxing (photo-etch, metal barrel, type of tracks, decals) differs between editions, so it is not stated here as certain — what counts is the content given on the box and in the instructions.
The K2 Black Panther is a South Korean main battle tank developed by Hyundai Rotem and ranks among the most modern tanks in the world. It carries a 120mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader, an advanced fire control system, composite as well as reactive armor and a hydropneumatic suspension that lets it change the ground clearance and the attitude of the hull. Poland ordered the K2 as part of a wide modernization of its ground forces and took delivery of the first machines in 2022; some of them are and will be built in a Polish version as well. For modelers it is an attractive, current machine with a striking angular silhouette.
As with every modern tank it pays to assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the lower hull before closing up and painting. Bring the single-color green camouflage to life by shading the individual panels, then lay down a gloss varnish under the decals. Build the final weathering with dark washes in the recesses and dust and mud pigments on the running gear and the lower areas. Glue the antennas and the add-on parts at the very end so that they do not snap off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
