A set of 3D printed gun barrels for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 in 1:48 scale from 3DF. A detail replacement for the plastic barrels, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings 3D printed barrels for the onboard armament of the long-nose version of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic barrels with faithful parts with hollow muzzles. It is made by the 3DF brand.
The Fw 190D-9 Dora carried mixed gun armament: a pair of synchronized 13 mm machine guns above the engine and a pair of 20 mm cannon in the wing roots. Precisely rendered gun muzzles are among the details that stand out easily on a finished model; plastic manages them only in coarser outline. The D-9 version was among the most capable German fighters of the end of the war, and faithfully rendered gun muzzles add to its combat authenticity.
Cut the plastic barrels off, clean the mating surfaces up and separate the 3D printed parts from their supports. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways when sanding resin. Pick the muzzles out with dark metal shades and light sooting; on the synchronized machine guns above the engine, watch the alignment with the cowling and support the metal look with light polishing in a dark metallic.
This is a supplementary detail set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
