A resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker CMK. It contains replacement exhaust pipes for models of the Westland Lysander liaison and reconnaissance aircraft, in the two types of version that occurred on production machines. It is an accessory that sharpens a model, not a kit of the aircraft; it is intended for the Airfix kit.
The Westland Lysander was a British liaison and observation aircraft with short takeoff and landing, famous for dropping agents behind enemy lines. During production two different versions of the exhaust system were used on it; the right type for a given period or version raises the fidelity of a finished model.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean up the hollows of the exhausts. Glue them with cyanoacrylate. Mix the exhausts over a dark rust base, add shades of oxidized metal and soot at the mouths; the fine differences are brought out with pigments. Sand the resin with your airways protected.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
