About product

Eduard 1:48 PBY-5 A Catalina, 3D-printed machine guns

This accessory from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is not a kit but a set of 3D-printed machine guns for a plastic model of the amphibious flying boat Consolidated PBY-5 A Catalina in 1:48 scale. The printed weapons replace the plastic parts with more faithful and finer ones. It is based on the dimensions of the Eduard or Revell kits.

What the set contains

  • 3D-printed machine guns of the defensive armament with fine detail
  • thin, clean barrels with no parting seam
  • worked-up details of the weapon bodies and the sights

Use and fitting

Carefully separate the parts from the print supports and clean them up. The thin barrels are fragile, so work with care. Bond them with super glue and degrease the surfaces before painting. You can bring out the metallic look with graphite or a metallic paint.

Who the set is for

  • modelers who want realistic defensive armament on a Catalina
  • builders with the observation blisters open, where the weapons are visible
  • anyone interested in fine weapon detail without sanding seams

An accessory for a kit sold separately. The base Eduard or Revell kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
