Admiral Hipper 1940 is a plastic kit of the German heavy cruiser in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the German heavy cruiser of the class of the same name as she was in 1940. The hull can be built at full height on a stand or as a waterline model. The box contains rotating gun turrets of 203 mm caliber, well-detailed superstructures, boat equipment, a display stand and a decal sheet.
Admiral Hipper was the lead ship of her class of heavy cruisers of the Kriegsmarine. She entered service in 1939 and during the Second World War operated above all in northern waters and in the Atlantic in operations against Allied shipping. Her main battery was made up of eight guns of 203 mm caliber.
We recommend liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush; German camouflage schemes in shades of gray are typical for 1940. Paint the hull and the decks before you fit the armament. The well-detailed superstructures benefit from photo-etched railings and rigging, which are not included in the package.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
