Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the McDonnell Douglas F-4C Phantom II fighter of the US Air Force in 1:72 scale from the brand Fine Molds. This limited edition commemorates the machines of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing, nicknamed the Wolfpack, operating from the Thai base of Ubon during the Vietnam War. The decal sheet offers several marking options including the machine of the wing commander.
The F-4C was the first production version of the Phantom II for the US Air Force. It was powered by two General Electric J79 engines and carried guided air-to-air missiles. At the beginning of 1967 the 8th Wing played a key role in Operation Bolo, an ambush laid for North Vietnamese MiG fighters in which several enemy machines were shot down.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, fill the joints with putty and sand them down. For the South East Asian camouflage a three-color combination of greens and brown with a light lower surface is the right choice; spray a gloss clear coat before the decals. We recommend masking the canopy glazing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
