The wheel set for the Messerschmitt Me 262 in 1:72 scale from Czech manufacturer Eduard. A resin, or rather 3D-printed, replacement for the plastic wheels, with fine tire tread and detailed hubs.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory detail set, not an airplane model. It contains replacement main and nose landing gear wheels for the German jet fighter Messerschmitt Me 262 kit in 1:72 scale. The parts are made by Czech manufacturer Eduard using modern fine-casting and 3D-printing technology, so they carry noticeably sharper detail than the injection-molded plastic pieces from the box.
The Me 262 Schwalbe was the world's first production jet fighter. It was powered by a pair of Junkers Jumo 004 engines and, thanks to its high speed, was a difficult target to intercept at the end of the Second World War. Accurately rendered wheels with the correct tread and a suggested weighted look are among the details that everyone notices on a finished model.
Carefully separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash off any mold-release residue, and glue with cyanoacrylate. Both the tires and the hubs are easy to paint; the suggested flattening at the point of ground contact gives the model a realistic parked look on its stand.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
