This is a masking material, not a paint. The masking tape from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby is 1.5 mm wide and 18 m long. Of the widths offered this is the narrowest, and it is used where a wider tape stands no chance: on thin color lines, on the frames of clear parts, on small cutouts and in places where only a few millimeters have to be covered.
For modelers who do fine color divisions, and for anyone who masks cockpits and clear parts. With a tape this narrow you have to allow for the fact that it holds over a smaller area, and therefore with less force, so after sticking it down always press it along its whole length with a spatula or a toothpick. The area behind the line has to be covered with wider tape or with film. On the frames of clear parts it is also more sensible to lay the tape down with an overlap first and cut the excess away with a fresh blade right on the part, rather than trying to seat a narrow strip precisely at the first attempt, because sliding a tape that is already stuck down smears the adhesive and the spray then creeps underneath.
Apply the tape to perfectly dry and degreased paint, otherwise it will damage the layer beneath when pulled off. Pull it off slowly, at a shallow angle and preferably within a few hours of spraying. Keep out of the reach of children.
