Evangelion is a giant humanoid combat machine from a Japanese animated series. The characters in it do not drive a vehicle in the usual sense: the machine is controlled from the inside and moves like a living body, and its shape follows from that. Against the angular robots of other series it has slender, elongated limbs, a strongly shaped head and a surface divided by color into large smooth areas separated by sharp edges.
It is a plastic model from the science-fiction field and comes as a set of parts for assembly. Compared with the other items of the same range, however, its name lacks the designation of a particular machine as well as the designation of an edition, so it does not tell you which machine of the series the set represents, nor whether the parts are supplied colored. Check that on the box; the part count, the height of the finished model and how the parts are joined are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
With a figure of this type, clean edges and symmetrical limbs decide the result. Cut the parts off a little away from the edge and sand the remainder down, so that no step is left on a visible edge. Large smooth areas are merciless to an uneven coat, so spray in two passes and light the area from the side. Before you glue the figure permanently, assemble it dry and look at it from the front: the shoulders and the hips must be at the same height.
Paints, glue, filler and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
