The technical standing ladder in 1:48 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models. General-purpose equipment for an airfield scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of a technical standing ladder in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. Unlike the ladders shaped for a particular type of aircraft, this one is general-purpose: it is used for maintenance, for work on the engines, on the vertical tails or on the armament. Printing in resin holds the thin rungs and the frame in one piece. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a scene.
More than just the crew move around a combat aircraft at an airfield. Technicians need to reach places high above the ground, and standing ladders with no tie to a particular type of machine therefore serve for maintenance. Such a ladder stands in a hangar and on the flight line alike, and in a diorama it is rewarding precisely because it can be placed anywhere and next to any aircraft. It adds height to a scene and at the same time offers a place for a figure.
Release the thin parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface. Sand the burrs with fine abrasive paper, wet. Glue the structure with cyanoacrylate glue on a flat surface. Workshop equipment tends to be scuffed and grubby, so it is worth suggesting chipping, stains and dust. A combination of worn metal and a light color looks convincing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
