The technical maintenance ladder in 1:72 is a universal printed ground crew accessory for aviation dioramas. It is not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal piece of ground equipment in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. The manufacturer intends it for work during the ground servicing of aircraft and for the crew getting in and out, and expressly recommends it for building dioramas on an aviation theme. Unlike its siblings it is not tied to a particular type of aircraft.
A technical ladder is a wheeled or portable stand with steps and a railing by which technicians reach the cockpit, the engines and the upper surface of the fuselage. Several of them stand at every military airfield, and beside parked aircraft they are set out according to whatever work is in hand. It is exactly such small things that turn a model on a base into a scene in which something is going on.
The parts are printed from photopolymer and are held on thin print supports. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel and sand the pad. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Once a filler primer is laid down, a dark wash into the recesses of the structure and fine chipping on the edges of the steps will stand out. Hold the small parts with tweezers and work over a mat with a raised edge. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
