Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-eight unpainted figures of German infantry from the fighting in North Africa in 1941 to 1943, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. The set is the natural counterpart to the British infantry of the same theater.
The German Afrika Korps came to Libya in 1941 to shore up the Italian forces and quickly became the defining element of the theater there. The kit was adapted to the heat: a tropical tunic and trousers in sand shades, a pith helmet or a cap, often supplemented with captured British items. It is precisely the mixed kit of both sides that is typical of the African theater, and for the modeler it is a rewarding detail.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Build the sand shades up in layers and leave them faded, as the African sun lightened cloth quickly. At the end add dust to the boots and the bottom of the trousers.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
