A set of printed cabin interior for the Fieseler Fi 156D-1 Storch in 1:72 scale from the maker IBG, in the version for casualty evacuation. This is not an airplane kit but an accessory. Because the cabin of the Storch is almost entirely glazed, its interior is visible from both sides and it is the interior that decides how the finished model looks.
The ambulance version differed from the liaison one precisely inside: the rear part was adapted so that a wounded man on a stretcher would fit into it. A plastic kit usually does not work this difference out in depth, so a printed insert is the only way to get the right equipment into the model without the builder having to make it himself.
Try the parts dry while the fuselage halves are still apart. They are glued with super glue. Paint the interior before glazing. A dark wash will bring out the frame structure and a dry brush will give it light. Do not paint white or light features in pure white; a broken shade looks more natural in a small scale. The pilot's seat and the upholstered parts take a dark wash into the folds, which gives them volume even on an area this small.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
