A-STAND Lacquer Paints Set - Varnish Set (5 x 30ml)

A-STAND Varnish Set - five clear finishes (5 x 30 ml)

A set of clear coats from the A-STAND line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The box states five bottles of 30 ml. A clear finish is not a paint: it covers nothing but seals the paint, changes the level of gloss and protects it against the further steps of a build.

Use

• A gloss coat before the decals, so that the carrier film under them does not show through and the decal does not go white.
• A matte or satin coat at the end, according to the surface the real subject had.
• Sealing the paint before washes and pigments, so that the weathering does not attack the color underneath.
• The A-STAND line is formulated for the airbrush, not for a brush; apply it in thin coats.
• Check the thinner and the drying time on the label, as the line has its own thinner and cleaner.
• Let the paint dry between coats, as a clear coat applied over damp paint can go cloudy.

Who it is for

For modelers of aircraft and cars who work with an airbrush and want the finishes at hand in one set instead of buying them a bottle at a time. A volume of 30 ml a bottle matches how clear coats are used up, because they are applied over the whole model and not just on a detail. It also suits adding to paints from other manufacturers, and a clear coat is worked only once the paint has dried.

The chemistry of the individual bottles is not stated here; go by the information on the label. Work in a ventilated area, protect your airways and keep it out of the reach of children and of sources of ignition.
