Junkers-Larsen JL-6 Military Service is a plastic kit of the American military version of the all-metal monoplane in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit in 1:48 scale depicts the American military version of the all-metal Junkers-Larsen JL-6 monoplane. The model faithfully reproduces the characteristic corrugated duralumin skinning of the real aircraft. It is supplied as an injection-molded plastic kit; the exact contents of the package and the markings follow the particular edition.
The JL-6 was the American form of the German all-metal Junkers F.13 — one of the first transport aircraft of all-metal cantilever construction with the characteristic corrugated duralumin skin. In the United States, under the Junkers-Larsen designation, it was operated in the early 1920s by the postal and military services among others. The enclosed cabin for passengers and the rugged structure were very advanced for their time and ahead of a world of wood-and-fabric biplanes.
Use liquid cement for plastic on the plastic parts. The characteristic corrugated skinning shows to advantage with metallic shades and a fine wash into the grooves of the sheet metal. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal. If the edition contains photo-etched parts, cut them off with a sharp knife and attach them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
