A cockpit for the A-10C Thunderbolt II in the detailed edition, scale 1:48 from Reskit. The box states that it is intended for the Great Wall Hobby kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on for a model, not an aircraft kit: a replacement cockpit for the American A-10C Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale, in the edition the manufacturer calls detailed. The box states that it is intended for the Great Wall Hobby kit. For the same aircraft and the same kit the manufacturer also offers a basic version of the set, in which the cockpit is handled with 3D decals; this detailed one is more extensive.
The A-10 is an American twin-engined aircraft for close support of ground forces, built literally around its seven-barrel cannon. The C version is an upgrade standard with new avionics, digital displays and the ability to carry guided munitions, so its cockpit differs markedly from the original. That is exactly why the cockpit is often replaced on a model: it is clearly visible and the C version has a look of its own.
Wash the parts clean of any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks or the print supports and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Test-fit the cockpit tub into the fuselage dry before you paint anything, because a resin cockpit usually needs material taken off the inner fuselage walls. Finish the cockpit completely and only then close up the fuselage.
This is an add-on, not a kit. The Great Wall Hobby base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
