The Sea King unfolded main rotor 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin set of the main rotor in the unfolded state for Sea King helicopter models from Reskit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory is a replacement main rotor in the unfolded position, not a whole model. These are 3D-printed resin parts in 1:48 scale for building the Sea King helicopter, according to the product name for the Hasegawa kit. The set contains a detailed rotor head and blades that faithfully capture the shape of the section and the fine detail that plastic parts tend to simplify.
The Sea King is a multipurpose twin-engine helicopter originally developed for anti-submarine warfare and later used in rescue and transport roles with a number of navies. Helicopters on ships' decks often stood with their blades folded; this set, by contrast, represents the rotor spread into the flight position, suitable for showing a machine ready for takeoff.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash and degrease them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Check the blades for flatness before gluing, then apply a base primer and the shades of the blades with their leading edges. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
