ATOM MiG-17F Syrian AF - a set of acrylic paints (4 x 20 ml)

A set of acrylic modeling paints from the ATOM line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The box states four bottles of 20 ml and the subject of Syrian MiG-17F machines. ATOM is a water-based paint, which the manufacturer formulated for brush as well as airbrush and which dries to a matte surface.

Use

• With a brush straight from the bottle; for an airbrush, thin it with the acrylic thinner of the same manufacturer to the consistency of milk.
• The paint levels itself as it dries, so no brush marks are left on the larger surfaces.
• Once dry it takes further coats, varnishes and weathering products.
• Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Do not mix it with lacquer or enamel paints, as the thinners are not compatible.
• Seal the matte paint with a gloss coat before the decals; on a matte surface a decal will not settle and a white carrier film will appear under it.

Who it is for

For modelers who build the MiG-17F in the colors of the Syrian Air Force and do not want to put the shades together a bottle at a time. Syrian MiG-17F machines were among the most numerous combat aircraft of that air force in the 1960s and 1970s and are a common subject in 1:72 and 1:48. The contents of the set will do for larger models as well, as 20 ml is enough for several kits. The shades are not listed by name here; the description on the bottles is what counts.
