A resin set of airport ground equipment in 1:200 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog: an airfield tow tractor and baggage carts to go with it. It is an accessory for models of airliners and for airport scenes, not a model of an aircraft. The manufacturer makes two sets in this scale, this one with carts and another with air cargo containers, and both in the larger 1:144 scale as well.
A tow tractor with a string of baggage carts is a typical sight on any apron, and on a model it does two jobs. It gives the scene its scale, because everybody can picture the size of a cart, and it creates a line that leads the eye to the aircraft. The open carts also allow you to add baggage of your own from plastic or modeling clay. In 1:200 scale these are parts a few millimeters long.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply the primer very thinly, or the detail will be filled in. The carts look good in a dirty light shade with a dark wash into the corners, whereas the tow tractor can take saturated colors that liven up the scene.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
