Birch 18 cm, 2 pcs

HEKI Birch 18 cm, 2 pcs

Two finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, eighteen centimeters tall. A birch is instantly recognizable in the landscape thanks to its pale trunk and drooping branch tips. At eighteen centimeters these are already mature trees, and on a model they form the kind of pair that commonly stands on a grassy strip between fields or by a lane, because birches readily regenerate in groups.

Use

• a pair of mature birches on a grassy strip between fields or by a lane
• a pale accent in a group of darker trees
• forest edges and areas growing over
• greenery by buildings, along railroads and on the banks of cuttings
• winter scenes where the tree should look good even without foliage
• greenery by abandoned buildings and overgrown yards

How to work with the trees

The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With taller pieces make the hole deeper and fix the trunk with a drop of glue. Do not set the pair symmetrically or at the same eye level; tilt one tree slightly. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and let the tips point downward, as that is exactly what is characteristic of a birch.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who need pale, distinctive trees, and for modelers fine-tuning forest edges. The pair can be split and each tree used elsewhere, so that the same species repeats within the scene and the landscape looks consistent. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
