A resin set of airport ground equipment in 1:200 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog: an airfield tow tractor and containers for aircraft cargo holds to go with it. It is an accessory for models of airliners and for airport scenes, not a model of an aircraft. 1:200 is a common scale among modelers of airliners, and the manufacturer makes two sets in it, one with containers and one with baggage carts.
In 1:200 scale even a large airliner fits in a display case, but the ground equipment is genuinely tiny: the tow tractor is only a few millimeters long. That is exactly why it changes a scene so markedly, because the eye immediately compares the size of the aircraft with the size of the vehicle and the model stops looking like a plastic object. Air cargo containers also have their characteristic slanted shape following the fuselage, so they are recognizable even at a scale this small.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray a thin primer before painting, as a heavy coat would fill in the detail on parts this small. Paint them while still on the casting block and cut them off only once dry; fine-tipped tweezers help with the final placing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
