Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of figures of German fighter pilots from the First World War in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. The figures are intended to complete a large aircraft model or an airfield vignette. They are supplied unpainted and unassembled. The manufacturer states neither the poses of the figures nor their number; the set designation suggests more than one, so we recommend checking the contents before you buy.
German fighter pilots of 1917 and 1918 wore a leather coat or a leather jacket, a hood with goggles and high boots; the kit varied a great deal from pilot to pilot and was often privately bought. The cockpits of the fighters of the day were open and unheated, so fur-lined leather clothing was a necessity. In 1:32 scale such a figure suits large biplane models, where it is clearly visible.
Rinse the resin figures in lukewarm soapy water and cut the casting blocks off with a fine-tooth saw. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Leather suits a dark base with the edges lightened step by step, and the face comes out well after glazing with oil paints. A primer is needed before painting.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
