A resin figure of a German airman from the Second World War in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. It is one of two separate figures the manufacturer offers on this subject; the other carries the N 2 designation, and beside them there is also a set with more characters. The figure is supplied unpainted and unassembled and is intended for a large aircraft model or an airfield vignette.
A German airman of the Second World War wore a flight suit or a cloth blouse, a life vest, a parachute harness and a hood with goggles; the kit varied with the front, the season and the branch of service. It is precisely the small differences in clothing that make a figure worthwhile on a model, because 1:32 scale shows the webbing as well as the buckles. A figure beside the machine also serves as a scale reference to the size of the aircraft.
Wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a fine-tooth saw and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Spray a primer before painting. The face and hands come out well painted in acrylics and refined with oil paints, and it is a good idea to make the harness webbing a shade lighter than the flight suit.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
