DSPIAE MSF-13 Siren, a polishing file is a modeling file with a very fine 10000 to 12000 grit for finishing a surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling file from the maker DSPIAE out of the Siren series, in the version with a very fine 10000 to 12000 grit. A grain this fine no longer sands but polishes: it is used in the last step, when the surface has been leveled with coarser paper and all that remains is to bring it to a shine. It is not a paint and not a kit but a tool.
Fine polishing decides how a gloss finish will look. Every scratch left by coarser sandpaper stands out under a gloss coat, so the move from coarse grain to a grain in the order of ten thousand is necessary on car bodies, cowlings, clear parts and everywhere a mirror surface is expected. The file holds its shape, so the boundary of the sanded area does not smear and flat surfaces stay flat, which is its main advantage over flexible paper.
Work dry only briefly; it is better to sand wet with a drop of water, because otherwise the removed material clogs the grain and the file stops polishing. Guide it in one direction and without pressure; with a grain this fine the work is done by repeating the stroke, not by force. Wipe the surface between strokes and check it against the light at a sharp angle, because the remaining scratches cannot be seen under different lighting. When you have finished, rinse the file and let it dry.
This is a tool. Sandpapers, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
