A 3D-printed Browning M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Firma49. A replacement for the coarse machine gun from a kit, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An armament accessory for modelers of military vehicles: the Browning M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but a single weapon, used to replace the coarsely shaped machine gun from a plastic kit or to fit out a ring mount on a turret. The Czech manufacturer Firma49 prints its parts in high resolution by SLA technology and supplies them unpainted. The number of pieces in the set is not stated here.
The Browning M2 is an American heavy machine gun for .50 caliber ammunition, that is 12.7 x 99 mm. It grew out of a design by John Browning, prompted in 1918 by an army requirement for a machine gun of at least half an inch. After the intermediate M1921 the weapon was designated M2 in 1933 and has been in service continuously ever since, which makes it the machine gun with the longest service career in the world. It went through the Second World War, Korea and Vietnam and serves to this day as armament for infantry, armored vehicles and ships.
Separate the parts from the print supports with a sharp scalpel and sand the remains away, preferably with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; cement for polystyrene does not hold on this material. Degrease the part before painting and spray on a thin primer. The perforated cooling jacket of the barrel comes out best after a dark filter and a careful lightening of the edges with a dry brush.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
