Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engine heavy fighter in the large 1:32 scale. The subject is the long-range D-1 version in the R1 fit, that is with a bulky tank slung under the fuselage, which after its shape was nicknamed Dackelbauch, dachshund belly. The DRAMi brand came about in 2026 for kits from Dragon molds. Check the extent of the package and the choice of markings on the packaging.
The Bf 110 came about as a heavy fighter with a crew of two to three men and two Daimler-Benz engines. In the Battle of Britain it turned out that it was not enough against agile single-engine opponents, but it continued to serve excellently everywhere that range and strong forward armament were valued. The D version was meant to serve precisely to extend the range: a large tank for both fuel and oil was slung under the fuselage, with which the Bf 110 could escort bombers over the North Sea and over Norway. The crews did not like it, however; it leaked, it worsened the flight characteristics and the risk of fire was too great, so it soon disappeared from service.
The large glazed cabin is the first thing a visitor will see on this model, so it pays to mask the frames and complete the interior parts in advance. Fit the slung tank only after sanding the underside of the fuselage, so that the joint stays clean. With the German grays it proves effective to spray the lighter shade first and add the darker pattern with a thin stream.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
