A replacement nozzle cap in the 0.3 mm version for the Gaahleri Mobius TG airbrush, manufacturer's part number 47712. The manufacturer also lists it as an end cap. It is a single part, not an airbrush and not a complete conversion to 0.3 mm.

Which tool it is for

The Mobius TG is a trigger-type dual-action airbrush from the manufacturer's Premium line, supplied with a 0.5 mm needle and with a round and a fan cap. The nozzle on it is changed without tools thanks to a quick-release collet closure. That is exactly why the tool can be re-equipped for a finer 0.3 mm spray, but that conversion rests on three parts which the manufacturer sells each separately: the needle, the nozzle and this cap. The cap on its own therefore does not change the spray diameter.

What to watch when choosing

• The cap is intended for the Mobius TG, that is for the trigger version. The basic Mobius with a conventional main lever has its own 0.3 mm cap under a different part number, and that really is a different part; do not mix the two up.
• If you want to spray 0.3 mm in earnest, buy a 0.3 mm needle and nozzle to go with this cap.
• The cap is small and easily damaged; a cap that is bent or deformed by a drop spoils the shape of the spray.
