Responsibility details are not available.
A small plastic kit of the Soviet medium tank T-34/76 in its 1943 form in 1:100 scale from the Russian company Zvezda. It belongs to the maker's tabletop war game, so the part count is small and the parts snap together. The model can be built without glue, but for strength it pays to add cement to the joints. The 1:100 scale matches the usual size of figures for tabletop games.
The T-34 was a Soviet medium tank whose sloped armor, wide track and powerful gun were ahead of their time. The 1943 form still carried a 76 mm gun, but it received a new hexagonal cast turret with two hatches, which the soldiers called Mickey Mouse for their shape. That turret is the surest guide for telling the late vehicles of the T-34/76 series from the earlier forms and from the later T-34/85 version.
Sand the remains of the sprue gates down so that the snap-fit joints seat properly, and put a drop of cement on the joints; after painting they hold better. In 1:100 scale you paint with heavily thinned paint in thin coats and bring the detail out with a wash rather than with brushwork. Emphasize the track and the running gear with a darker shade and with dust effects. If you use the model in a tabletop game, allow for it being picked up often, so fix the paint with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
